Runcam Swift 2

New version of Runcam Swift was released – Runcam Swift 2. It is upgraded version of the famous Runcam camera. So what was upgraded?

New features:

• Now includes microphone
• OSD functions added
• Voltage range is 5-36V (vs 5-16V on older model)
• VBat input pin for OSD voltage display, audio out pin
• Alternative housing included

New Runcam Swift 2 can be equipped with 3 different lenses:

• 2.5mm – FOV 130°
• 2.3mm – FOV 150°
• 2.1mm – FOV 165°

OSD functions include:

• Pilot name
• Timer
• Voltage indication
• Baseline (fixed horizon as dashed line)

OSD functions are great! Now you can add battery voltage indicator on the video feed from camera, setup pilot name for, set flight timer on the screen as in Foxeer Arrow (HS1190). The OSD menu is similar to the HS1177 or HS 1190 cameras.

CCD sensor itself is the good old one 1/3″ SONY Super HAD II CCD. So the video quality is the same as older Runcam Swift.

The new version dimensions are the same as old version camera but slightly heavier (14g vs 12g).

Camera comes with two variants of casing – one is for Runcam bracket with 4 point fixation, another case has 3 holes on the each side for fixing on variaous brackets with a standart 6 mm spacing:

All mounting holes have metalic thread, so you dont need to worry about undertightening or overturning the camera fixation screws. All in all it is great ugrade for a Runcam Swift especially when the price is very competitive with Foxeer Arrow – $39.99
