First FrSky VTX – VS600

FrSky VS600 is the first video transmitter released by FrSky.  This video transmitter features 48 Channels, 3 power settings (25mW/200mW/600mW) and a useful Pit Mode that allows the users to power it up at a low power (1mW) to change settings and make pre-flight tests without the fear of interfering with other pilots. You can activate the Pit Mode by powering on VS600 while holding B1 button. 3 blue LEDs will flash twice and then turn off, indicating that VS600 entered into Pit Mode. The operating power is less than 0.01mW and the effective distance of image transmission is about 1m. Channels and bands can be changed by push buttons and from the transmitter Lua Script menu. Settings can also be adjusted on computer by using FreeLink application. Need to notice, that VS600 VTX doesn’t use SmartAudio, but instead uses S.Port for controling the settings.

One of the most interesting features of this VTX is multiple stack mounting patterns  – it fits into standart 30.5×30.5mm and smaller 20x20mm stacks. Additional mounting tabs can be snapped off in case you need to fit the VTX into smaller stack.
